Boarding for Dogs and Cats

During the Stay

When boarding at Meadow Hills Veterinary Center, your pet receives personal attention from a trained and educated staff, healthy meals, and special care. Our boarders enjoy light, clean, spacious quarters with separate rooms for dogs and cats.

Large dogs enjoy spacious indoor runs with warm, clean linens to snuggle in. Small dogs have individual kennels with plenty of bedding to curl up in.
Cat owners may choose either an apartment or condo. A condo is double the space of an apartment. Housemates may share a condo. Cats also have a view of the outdoors.
Music is provided to keep everyone entertained.
Your pet stays in climate controlled comfort.
All the dogs are individually exercised twice daily.
All pets go home with a report card with comments on their stay from our boarding staff.
At Meadow Hills, we feed and recommend Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach. However, you are welcome to provide your own food.

Elective procedures, such as a dental cleaning, may also be completed for an additional charge while your pet boards with us.

Vaccine Guidelines

Pets need vaccines to board We do require your pet's vaccines be up-to-date for boarding. DHP, Rabies and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) must be current for dogs. Cats must have FVRCP and Rabies. Please speak with our staff if you have any questions or need clarification on your pet’s vaccination status. We cannot accept home administered vaccines. If your vaccines were administered at another veterinary clinic, please bring the vaccine certificates with you when you check in.

*Note: We charge for each night your pet stays with us, much like a human hotel. If your pet is not picked up before 11:00 am, you are charged for another night’s stay.

Pamper Your Pet

Pamper your pet with the extra attention While you're away, pamper your pet with some optional services.

With our TLC (Tender Loving Care) Package, your pet receives a combination of the following services depending on your wishes and your pet's interests ($7 each):
- Brushing of coat
- Extra walking and exercise or indoor play
- Extra attention from our kennel staff

A Stuffed Kong Treat- Kongs will engage and stimulate your dog, while reducing boredom, and separation anxiety. As your dog rolls, bounces or chews the Kong, it will release food or treats. Our Kongs are sealed with peanut butter to ensure longer playtimes. (For our clients on special diets, we recommend using their dry food and sealing the Kong with canned food.) ($4 each)

The Treat and Play Package combines the best of both worlds with 2 TLC times and 1 Stuffed Kong Treat. ($16/package)

Pet Belongings

Room for singles or housemates Meadow Hills will provide comfortable bedding, food bowls, toys and Science Diet Sensitive Stomach foods.

Please bring for your pet:

Your pet's own food if different from Science Diet Sensitive Stomach
Bring any medications in their original containers
No more than one blanket and two toys per pet.

Please mark any of your pet’s belongings with permanent ink. We will do our best to make sure that all items are returned to you but please know that unmarked items can sometimes be misplaced because of the large volumes of laundry processed daily
